Vivian Arlene Cook 83 of Fowler passed away at 5:33p m Tuesday December 5,2023 at St. Anthony Healthcare Center in Lafayette. She was born July 24,1940 near Crawfordsville, Iowa to the late Colin J. and Mary Ellen Kirchner Tindill. She married Arthur L. Cook on October 30,1959 and he survives. Vivian was a graduate of Pleasant High School, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and later graduated from beauty school in Burlington, Iowa. Vivian owned and operated her own beauty shop in her home for 36 years. She also held Iowa, Illinois and Indiana licenses. She was a long-time member of the Finley Methodist Church in Iowa and attended the Presbyterian Church in Aledo, IL until switching to the Methodist Church in Fowler. After almost 6 years in Aledo, IL she and her family moved to Fowler in 1965. She is survived by Arthur her husband of 64 years, her daughter Patricia (Jeff) Windler of Fowler, a son Steven Cook of Lafayette, three grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a brother Keith Tindell of Fountain, Colorado. She was preceded in death by a grandson Jeffrey Allen Cook, and two sisters Marilyn and Doris and her beloved pet Kricket. Private family services will be held at a later date. Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
