Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Lee (Thrasher) Knuckles, 83, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Bar None Cowboy Church with Jason Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Lyles-Sanders Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
Mrs. Knuckles passed from this life to experience her first Christmas in Heaven on December 24, 2024, in Pearland. She was born March 9, 1941, in Waco to the late Mose and Ida Cleo (Skains) Thrasher and graduated from Axtell High School in 1959. Mrs. Knuckles was a long-time resident of Houston where she raised her family before spending the last 24 years in Rusk County. She attended Bar None Cowboy Church and was unapologetic about her faith. She was gifted with the ability to crochet and viewed that as her ministry. Vivian also had a beautiful voice. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, on the road and off, and she travelled many miles all over the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Avery Eugene "Gene" Knuckles.
Survivors include her daughters, Jeana Gonzales and husband Ronnie of Pearland and their children David Gonzales and wife Leila and their children Gianni, Maddox and Eli, and Veronica Taylor and husband Eric and their son Nicholas; Kathryn Nigro and husband George of Henderson and their children Daniel Nigro and wife Hali, Dominic Nigro and Donato Nigro and wife Erika; and Sandra Marler of Mt. Enterprise and her daughter Candice Georgi and her children Louis and Isabella.
