Vivian Louise "Dickie" Loyd

Vivian Loyd, 81, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas at Belvedere Nursing and Rehab. She was born on October 5, 1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Vivian had a deep love for the outdoors and took great joy in working in her yard and tending to her garden. For forty years, she owned and operated her own beauty shop, where she served her community with skill and kindness. She loved her family dearly, cherishing time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vivian was well known for her homemade tamales and her famous chicken and dressing, and she often shared her cooking with family, friends, and anyone in need.

A giving soul, Vivian was always ready to help those around her. She faithfully served for many years at Lakeview Baptist Church in North Shreveport, where her dedication to her church family was evident to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband David Loyd, her daughter Teresa Loyd, and her grandson Taylor Loyd.

Vivian is survived by her son Marty Loyd and wife Myra; grandchildren Mitchell Loyd, Aaron Loyd, Kyle Conly and wife Kaitlynd, Kory Conly, Kirsten Jisa and husband Jake, Wendi Wood and husband Wade, Emily Robinette, Cara Long, and Haley Golden and husband Don; a host of great-grandchildren; and her sister Virginia Cole.

Visitation will be held at Aulds Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Rick McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the staff of Belvedere Nursing and Rehab, along with Dierksen Hospice for their loving care of Mrs. Loyd.
