Vivian Fike Snader of Salisbury, Maryland passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Friday, January 17, 2025. Born in Oakland, MD on April 21, 1919, she was the youngest of ten children born to the late Rev. Lorenzo H. and Laura T. (nee Myers) Fike. Vivian was 105 years old.

In addition to working full time as a teacher, Vivian had incredible homemaking skills, which she continued to use until recent years. Her talents as a seamstress were shared with many as she created hundreds of Quiet Books for children, often given as gifts to close friends and family. Her handmade quilts, crocheted afghans and dishcloths are still used by her friends and family.
Vivian enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, golfing with her husband and close friends, sewing, reading, playing cards and traveling with friends and family. She always cherished the time that she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Vivian married George David Snader in 1948. After living in Dundalk and Baltimore City, Vivian and Dave moved to Catonsville, where they were very active members of Catonsville United Methodist Church for 33 years. In 1996, they moved to Salisbury and joined Bethesda United Methodist Church. At Bethesda, Vivian enjoyed volunteering in the library and being an active member of the Koinonian Fellowship Groupand the United Methodist Women's Circle Eve.

Snader, Halethorpe, MD, grandsons David Rowe (Erica) of Reading, PA and Brian Rowe (Kelly) of Fallston, MD and three great- grandchildren, Gavin, Abby and Finley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephew as well as great- nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, George David Snader, seven sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian's last 15 years were enriched by the loving care of her sitters, Michele White, Barbara Thompson, Ruth Shockley and Anita Mason. She was blessed to have wonderful Hospice care givers, who offered their unconditional love and respect to Vivian, especially Geordie Walters, Megan Suttmiler Daniels, Star and Melissa Richback. Vivian's family was grateful for the love and care she received from the entire staff at Chesapeake Manor in Willards, MD where she had been a resident since April 2024.
