VIVIAN BISHOP THORNHILL of Dandridge, TN, our sweet (Nana ) peacefully went to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2023. If you knew her, she was your Nana too. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, and a friend to all that knew her. Her smile lit up a room and her sweet loving kindness could be felt in every conservation. She was a member of the French Broad Community Church and was retired from the Jefferson Co. Schools were she served many years as a teacher’s aid at Dandridge Elementary. Vivian was preceded in death her father and mother, Loyd, and Mildred Miller; her late husband, Kenneth Bishop; sisters, Lois Wilson, Mabel Moore, and Marjorie Sams. She is survived by her husband, Ken Thornhill; children, Kenny (Terrie) Bishop, Kim (Jeff) Underwood, Scott (Kim) Bishop, Stephanie (Robert) Vick, Jeff (Amy) Thornhill and Angie (Randy) Rogers; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Satterfield; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Wanda Pruitt. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, 2:30pm at French Broad Brethren Cemetery with Rev. Justin Breeden officiating. The body will lie in state on Saturday from 9:00am until 2:00pm for those who wish to sign the guest register at Farrar Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts in memory of Vivian Bishop Thornhill be made to the French Broad Community Church Cemetery, 3306 Brethren Church Rd., White Pine, TN 37890.
