Vivian Corletta Winder

Vivian Corletta Winder, age 92, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at Heisinger Bluffs.
She was born July 14, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to the late Lester Woodrow Jacobs and Constance Beatrice Tripp. On July 3, 1949, she was united in marriage to Earl William Winder in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2008.
Vivian was a devoted homemaker and also worked for Village Marina Boat Sales. She was full of life and loved animals, dancing, reading, and fishing. She had a passion for music and taught herself to play the piano, harmonica, guitar, and organ. She even participated in several 5K races, a testament to her adventurous and energetic spirit.
She is survived by her five children: sons Dennis "Denny" Winder (Sandy) and Darrell Winder, both of Holts Summit; and daughters Boni Wagers of Jefferson City, Rita Bridges (Billy) of Jefferson City, and Debbie Ainolhayat (Mike) of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Howard of Jackson, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Jacobs.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the VA Home or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Family and friends will be received at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
