Volkert Laser Obituary

Volkert left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was a lover of the outdoors, of gardening, of fishing, and of tinkering. He valued family and hard work. Later in life, he overcame many strongholds and sought after a better understanding of himself and of God. We will miss him and hope he is in heaven with a fishing rod in hand and a big dog by his side.
Volkert is survived by his children, David Laser and Tracy Thompson, along with their children, Moz and Lily; Anne and Marc Bayerkohler, along with their children, Austin Comstock and Maybe Bayerkohler; Heide Laser and Vanessa Reyes; Katie and Sam Kim, along with their children, Zoe and Claire.
He also leaves behind his sisters Carmen Curtis and Christel Bublitz, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Laser, and parents Erhard and Inge Laser.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Houston, TX. Friends and family will gather at 10:00 am for a visitation.
