Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Mar. 26, 2025.
Vonda Lee Beard, age 89, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her devoted family. Born on April 8, 1935, to the late Willard and Mattie Stephens, Vonda lived a life full of grace, love, and devotion to her family and community.
Vonda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Aubrey Beard, her sons, Daniel and Joseph Beard, and her parents, Willard and Mattie Stephens. She was a woman of great strength, and though she endured the loss of those closest to her, her spirit remained one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy Johnson (Terry); her grandchildren, Brett Johnson (Annie), and Jennifer Jones (Michael); and her precious great-grandchildren, Eli Jones, Mason Jones, Amelia Jones, Mallie Johnson, and Owen Johnson. Vonda's family was the heart of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. She found immense joy in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and flourish, and her legacy of love will live on in each of them.
A woman of deep faith, Vonda was known for her kind heart, her ability to make everyone feel welcome, and her unwavering support for those she cared about. She was a friend to many and was always ready with a warm smile and a listening ear. Her presence in the lives of her family and friends will be profoundly missed.
A funeral service to honor Vonda's life will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Donald Cotten officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Vonda will be laid to rest at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Brett Johnson, Terry Johnson, James Johnson, Michael Jones, Wesley Jones, and Craig Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Jones and Mason Jones.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered support and love during this difficult time. While Vonda's physical presence will be missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love, faith, and wisdom will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind.
