W. Scott Kirkpatrick

William Scott Kirkpatrick passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Hospice of the Western Reserve in Medina surrounded by his family at the age of 73.
He was born October 15, 1950, in Ashland, Ohio to parents William & Wilma (Stonecipher) Kirkpatrick. Scott was graduated from Loudonville High School with the class of 1968, and married Mary Jo Heffelfinger on July 23, 1977. The pair have been married for 46 years.
Scott worked his entire adult life in sales and marketing. He enjoyed traveling and had a passion for the boating industry. He was so proud of his son Marcus and his granddaughter Helena, and he loved his dog, Joey. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Buckeyes or auto racing, playing golf, and helping friends and family with whatever he could.
He is survived by his wife Mary Kirkpatrick; his son Marcus (Heather) Kirkpatrick; his granddaughter Helena Kirkpatrick; and his brothers Mike (Jeannie) Kirkpatrick and Jerry (Debbi) Kirkpatrick.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by siblings Dr. John Kirkpatrick and Karen Hunter; his sister-in-law's Kay Heffelfinger and Judy Devlin; and brother-in-law's Mike Heffelfinger and Fred Heffelfinger.
Scott's family will receive friends Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home- Lindsey Chapel, Loudonville with a private family memorial service at 5:15 p.m. Pastor John Temple will officiate and burial will take place in Loudonville Cemetery at a later date.
Contributions in Scott's memory may be made to the Loudonville Fire Department or the Ashland County Humane Society at the funeral home.
