Wade Holt, Jr. Obituary
Wade “Buddy” Alson Holt Jr., 89, of Siler City, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan Hospice House in Pittsboro.
Buddy was born in Chatham County on July 5, 1933, to Wade A. Holt Sr. and Dorothy Willett Holt. In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Irene Cooper Holt.
Mr. Holt was a custodian for the Chatham County School System for many years. He enjoyed many different sports but especially basketball and bowling. Being outside either enjoying the sunshine or working on cars made Buddy happy. Buddy was a blessing to many people with his willingness to help anyone out when needed.
Buddy is survived by his son, two daughters, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and four sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Bynum Methodist Church Cemetery, at 2:00 PM, with Willie Pickard officiating.
Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is serving the Holt family.
