Wallace Edward Abel, 92, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at IU Health Saxony in Fishers. He was born on December 20, 1932 to the late Edward and Lucille (Nally) Abel in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Wally proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired as a salesman for Central Soya. Wally enjoyed fishing and reading, especially history autobiographies and westerns. He loved playing chess and card games such as pinochle and euchre. Wally loved the music of Patsy Cline, and shared a love for Lawrence Welk with his father. He was extremely witty and made people laugh.

Wally is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jean Abel; 8 children, Lynda Mallery Abel, Terry Abel, Kim (George) Rasher, Wally K. (Janet) Abel, Diane (Jon) Black, Scott Abel, Michael (Shawn) Abel, Shawn Abel; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Wally's care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes.
