Kathleen Allyn Rensing, 74, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on October 4, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1951, in Berea, Ohio, to the late Leonard and Joann Morse.
Kathy graduated from Harrison High School in Evansville in 1969, and from Indiana State University in 1973, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology.
Kathy married LaVergne Bernard Rensing, of Damianville, Illinois, on September 22, 1973.
She was employed with Winona Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, as a medical technologist and laboratory supervisor.
Kathy had a passion for playing her flutes, and was very skilled. She was a member of the Indianapolis Municipal Band, The Brandywine Band in Greenfield, and the Indy Winds Flute Choir. She enjoyed performing with the Shriners and other bands.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Vern; son Christopher (Cassie) Rensing; daughter, Emily Rensing; grandson, Connor; and brothers, Stephen Morse, David (Janet) Morse, and Stuart (Carla) Morse. She was preceded in passing by her parents.
A Visitation for Kathy will take place on Tuesday, October 14, from 10am to 12pm, with a Memorial Service at 12pm. A Graveside Service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Kathy’s memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center, or to the Indianapolis Municipal Band.
