MR. WALLACE ANDREWS, age 76, of Wrens, GA passed away on Monday, October 13th, 2025, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, GA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home. FREEMAN FUNERAL HOME, WRENS in charge.
MR. WALLACE ANDREWS, age 76, a native of Wrens, Georgia was born on Friday, April 15, 1949, to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Mamie) Andrews. He passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Wallace married Carrie Mae Hill on Saturday, September 18, 1971. To this union, a son was born. Wallace accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.
He was a graduate of Jefferson County High School in Wrens, Georgia with the Class of 1968. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of dedicated service. Our dearly beloved Wallace Andrews will be missed by all who knew him. We thank God for his life, and we pray to our Heavenly Father that his transition was a peaceful one.
In addition to his parents, Wallace was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sasshay Tremble; three siblings: two sisters, Sheila Andrews and Deann Thomas and a brother, Johnnie Andrews. Precious memories are left to be cherished by those who have survived him: a loving wife, Carrie Mae Andrews; one son, Wallace T. (Carmen) Andrews; one granddaughter, Alexis (Avery) Drake; four grandsons, Timothy (Karla) Andrews, Christopher Andrews, Cameron Andrews and Nicholas Andrews; one great-granddaughter, Madalyn Drake; one great-grandson, Braylen Jarrells; one sister, Janice (Johnny) Johnson; a host of cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
