Wallace N. Finke Jr., born June 13, 1946 in Waterbury, CT, died on September 19, 2025, at his home in Watertown. He was preceded in death by his wife Shauna (Murphy) Finke, with whom he was married for 53 years. Wally was a talented athlete and a high scorer for the Watertown High School Basketball team. He attended Husson College on a basketball scholarship. He was a veteran, avid fisherman, boat captain, and a retired police officer. He maintained a strong sense of right and wrong, and imparted such to his kin along with a dry wit like no one else. Wally's time on the water always brought him amusement and joy.
Wally was predeceased by his parents Wallace N. Finke Sr., and Harriet (Gahan) Finke, his wife Shauna, and his brothers Lee and Norman Finke.
He leaves behind, to mourn his passing, his daughter Stacy Krouch and her husband Keith, as well as their children, Malone, Aidan, and Logan, all of East Lyme. he also leaves his sister Charlotte Geary of Wolcott, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In honor of Wally's wishes, services will be private and burial will be at the discretion of his family. Casey-O'Neill Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT 06779 has been honored to assist the family during this difficult time.
