Walter Gorzkowski

Walter J. Gorzkowski, 57, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Diane Portuese, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital. The son of the late Walter V. and Julienne (Bolduc) Gorzkowski, he was born in Hartford and was raised in Rocky Hill. He lived in Windsor Locks with Diane for the past 33 years where they raised their family. He was employed at Collins Aerospace for 32 years as a dedicated employee and worked very hard to support his family. Walter was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed rooting and bragging about his favorite team.
Besides his wife Diane, he is survived by a daughter Ashley Aspinwall and her husband Mark of Windsor Locks, a son Taylor Gorzkowski of Windsor Locks, a sister Christine Kershaw of Texas, two grandchildren Carter and Marley Aspinwall, a mother-in-law Carol Portuese, a brother-in-law David Portuese, three sisters-in-law Cari Mazza and her husband Scott, Nancy Ridel, Cindy Neilson, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a father-in-law Joseph Portuese, and a brother-in-law Steven Portuese. Visitation hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM Thursday, July 14 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Burial is private.
