Walter A. Hamilton, 88, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at his daughter's residence surrounded by family.
Walt was born on December 10, 1935 in Silver Lake to Homer and Marjorie (Pletcher) Hamilton. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Estep in 1963 divorcing in 1991, who then proceeded in 2020. He married Donna Lee Weaver in 1991 who preceded him in 2013. He married Reba Graves in 2015 who preceded him in 2021.
Walt proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Flint Ink as an ink mixer.
He was an avid camper, camping for over 40 years with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Pierceton, IN. He enjoyed fishing and gardening as well. Walt made many lifelong friends at the Campground and mowed as many as 15 yards on a weekly basis for some of the property owners in the park.
Walt will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Aimee (Jim) Farmer of Warsaw; daughter-in law Lori Hamilton of Columbia City; grandchildren Kyle, Travis, Ric, and Melissa, many great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wives Marilyn, Donna, and Reba he was preceded in passing by two sons Mark Andrew and Daniel "Boonie" Hamilton, grandson Bradley Harrell, and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct., Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Walt's life will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Lewis Wedstel Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Indiana.
The family kindly request the memorial donations be made to Animal Welfare League, 1048 S. 325 E., Pierceton, IN 46562.
