Walter Wayne Hogg, 77, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Born August 21, 1947, in Petersburg, Virginia, he was the son of Ann Hamlet Hawkins Hogg and Walter John Hogg.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Wayne spent years in retail followed by time in manufacturing until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling and dining out with his wife and spent time with friends playing golf; affectionately referred to as ParPar by his cherished grandson due to his love for the game as well as his challenges playing the sport. Throughout his life and into retirement, Wayne loved his pets; dogs, cats, and the wild birds and hummingbirds he cared for in his yard.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Earlene Hogg; son, Justin Hogg and wife, Jennifer Hogg; and grandson, Connor Hogg.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
