Walter Kopmeier Krauth III

Walter K. Krauth III of Newnan passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born in Lawton, OK to Dr. Walter Krauth, Jr. and the late Margaret (Hill) Truesdale on February 9, 1959.
Walter grew up in College Park, GA and was a 1977 graduate of Lakeshore High School. He was a proud graduate of Georgia Tech where he was a member of the golf team. Walter worked in many capacities in real estate and land development through his employment with First Chase Construction and then Southmark. For the last 35 years, he has been the General Manager for Bullard Property Management.
Walter was devoted to his family and to his church. He took every opportunity to tell his wife, children, extended family, and friends that he loved them and was proud of them, and he actively supported them in their many endeavors. He also set a great example for them through his involvement with church. Over the years, he served both Morrow Presbyterian and Newnan Presbyterian as an elder, deacon, Sunday School teacher, and clerk of the session (NPC). For a time, he was also a member of the Committee on Ministry for the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta and once served as a commissioner at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church.
His memorial service is on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Newnan Presbyterian Church, 38 Greenville Street, Newnan with Reverend David Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, and to honor Walter by contributing to the development of future golfers (for the sport that he loved), the family requests donations to the PGA of America REACH Foundation at www.pgareach.org/donate.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie (Cannon) Krauth of Newnan; son, Walt (Beth) Krauth of Oxford, GA; daughters, Ericha (Brad) LeSassier of Slidell, LA, Carly and Paige Krauth, both of Newnan; grandchildren, Sam and Olivia Krauth of Oxford, GA; father, Dr. Walter (Carmen) Krauth, Jr.; sisters, Mary Margaret Cooke of Norcross, GA, Meg (Jamie)Tuck of Marietta, GA, Nancy (Bill) Truesdale of Key Largo, FL.
