Walter Olin Obituary
Son of Alice and Frank Olin, born in Douglas, Michigan. Walter lived a majority of his life in Stamford, CT. He was a well-known auto mechanic in the town, having owned a gas/automobile service station for many years. Walter also worked as a foreman with CT Transit for well for over 20 years. Walter enjoyed traveling the United States with his predeceased wife of 57 years, Louise May Olin, daughter of Clarence and Rheuama Purdy (Williams) all from Stamford, CT. Walter and Louise relocated to Kingman, AZ over 20 years ago after raising their four now full-grown daughters. While raising his daughters he enjoyed time with his family for Sunday dinners, trips to NYC for a show or a long country drive. He was a dedicated fan of PBS/Masterpiece programs and was an avid card player. Walter leaves behind his four daughters, Lois Walsh, Alice Franklin, Susan Olin and Deneen Olin. Along with 5 grand-children, Christy Morrison, John Franklin, Eric Franklin, Samuel Hernandez and Sara Roman and two sons-in-law, Jim Franklin and Tim Walsh. He will be deeply missed by all. Services for Walter Olin will be held graveside on March 11, 2026 at 12 pm. Roxbury Cemetery, 512 Roxbury Terrace, Stamford, CT.
