Anne Lloyd Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home on Mar. 8, 2026.
Anne Therese (Gault) Lloyd passed away on March 7, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. Anne, affectionately known by those who loved her as Terry, was 81 years old.

Anne was born on December 27, 1944 in Stamford, Ct to James and Anna (Duane) Gault. She attended Stamford Public Schools where she made many friends like Eileen and Toni. Together, the ladies enjoyed spending their time riding in cars from "the beach to town and back". They even put 1000 miles on Eileen's car in one summer. Anne graduated from Stamford High School in 1962 and began working at Pitney Bowes as a bookkeeper. Anne met and married Donald Richard Lloyd on November 12, 1966 and they lived in Harrison and Port Chester, NY before settling in Stamford, Ct in August of 1976. Their son Scott was born on January 5, 1973 and their daughter Melissa was born on May 8, 1977. Anne and Donald raised their children to love our country and all things winter sports like Hockey and Figure Skating. Anne was a New York Rangers fan and truly loved watching the Winter Olympics.

On any given day, you could find Anne caring for her family and friends. Whether hosting holiday dinners and weeknight get togethers, driving school carpool, welcoming the neighborhood kids into her home, or babysitting for little ones, Anne never stopped giving of her time and love. Anne was an avid reader and lover of Hallmark movies and ice cream. Not a day went by that she didn't enjoy a bowl as her nightly snack.

Anne was immensely proud of her family. She was the very proud Gram and Uma of six boys, and she loved spending time with them. Anne loved with all of her heart, each and every day.

Anne is survived by her son Scott (Liza), daughter Melissa (Jason), her six grandsons Ryan, Connor, Brendon, Jake, Griffin, and William, her brother James Jr. (Venus), her cousin Constance Meehan, best friend Virginia O'Neill, and many other loved ones. Anne was predeceased by her father James (1953), Mother Anna (1996), and husband Donald (2006).

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 4-8 PM at Thomas M Gallagher Funeral Home 104 Myrtle Ave Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at St Mary's Church 566 Elm Street Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford, CT
