Walter W. Toth

Walter W. Toth, 99, of Lower Macungie Township died on August 25, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Mary (Ertl) Toth until her passing in 2015. He was the companion of Marie Harrison. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frank and Theresa (Fielder) Toth.
He retired as Vice-President of Finance and Treasurer for the former Lehigh Structural Steel Company in 1991 after 42 years with the company. He was treasurer and trustee of the former Kift-Mullen Foundation and director of the former Lehigh-Lancaster, Inc., of Lancaster, South Carolina. He was past president of both the Allentown and Alton Park Lions Clubs. He was past board and endowment foundation member of the Association for the blind and visually impaired (now center for vision loss). He graduated from Allentown High School in 1942 and Muhlenberg College in 1949 with a B.S. in mathematics. He also took courses at Moravian Colleges evening program. He was a Marine Corps Sergeant in World War II, having served 15 months in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Salisbury Township, Brookside Country Club, the former Allentown Lions Club and a Charter Member of VFW Post 12099 and presently a member of VFWA Post 9264.
Survivors: Daughter, Sandra M. Toth of Ellicott City, Maryland; Son, Richard W. Toth and wife Kathy of Bensalem, Pennsylvania; Grandchildren Hilary Eanet, Ashley Whitehouse, Richard J. Toth, Great grandchildren; Rylee Eanet, Tatum Whitehouse, William Whitehouse, Eliana Toth; sister-in-law:
Loretta Stubits of Woodbury, N.J. and Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his Brother: Harold F. Toth and Sister: Betty (Toth) Althouse.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11 A.M. at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown, PA 18103. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the church.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville, PA
