Walter H Wahl III

Walter H. Wahl, III, 83 of Sea Girt, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born and raised in Freeport Long Island, NY. He received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Tarkio College, Missouri. After college, Walter returned to New Jersey and worked at a YMCA for several years before starting his 31-year career as a Physical Education teacher for the Wall Board of Education and is mainly known for working at Allenwood Elementary School. In his spare time Walter enjoyed trout fishing, doing crossword puzzles, and watching the New York Yankees. Walter thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Walter was predeceased by his parents Walter and Jean Wahl, and his daughter Wendi Wales in 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife Meta Wahl of Sea Girt, and his loving son Kirt Wahl of Point Pleasant Boro. Walter was the cherished grandfather of Connor and Reilly Wahl.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Manasquan Presbyterian Church,16 Virginia Avenue Manasquan, NJ 08736. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation. The arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, NJ.
