Walter Wayne Waldron
Born July 14, 1927
Passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 97.
Walter Waldron was born in St. Helens Oregon. His parents were Winston Ronald Waldron and Marie M Rosenthal. His only sibling, Nate, preceded him in passing in 1995 at the age of 65.
Walter joined the Merchant Marines in July 1945 and was on a ship headed for Japan during the surrender. He worked as a log truck driver for many years and moved into log scaling until his retirement.
Walter drove a race car when he was young for Jordan Motor Company in St. Helens Oregon. Later he raced boats and water ski raced. He also did some snowmobile racing. He enjoyed spending time fishing at Lake Mead and around the La Pine area during his retirement. After he gave up fishing, he learned how to play pickleball and played until he was 96.
Walter was married 3 times. He is survived by five children Wesley Waldron, Judy Lewis, Jeannette Terry, Walter Wayne Waldron JR, and Vicki Romine, He has 6 granddaughters, Tennille Perry, Kristin Terry, Yvonne Lewis, Michelle Marshall, Jody Iverson, Kendrick Romine. He has 1 grandson Luke Romine. He has 3 great granddaughters Maile Perry, Nanea Perry, and Emma Rae Phillips. He has 3 great grandsons, Casey Marshall, Lewis Iverson, and Rory Iverson. He has many friends.
There will be a celebration of life for Walter W Waldron on February 19, 2025, at 1 pm at the La Pine Activity Center, 16450 Victory Way, La Pine, OR 97739.
