Walter “Wally” William Senkbeil, age 94 of Wautoma passed away peacefully in his bed at his beloved pines home on Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was born on November 5, 1929 in Sheboygan to William and Helen (Dornstreich) Senkbeil. Wally graduated from Central High School in 1947. On October 1, 1949 he married Kathleen Fesing, daughter of Frederick and Mathilda (Leonhard) Fesing, at St. Dominic’s Parish in Sheboygan and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary prior to her death on November 17, 2019. Together they raised four children. Wally worked for Vollrath Company for 43 years and retired in 1992 and then moved to the pines in the town of Dakota. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served in various committees and activities. Wally was a member of the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 6228 and held the office of Grand Knight and other related offices, Faithful Navigator and other offices in the Chain of Lakes Assembly 1862 and the Honor Guard. He also delivered Meal on Wheels for many years. Wally was always involved in his children’s lives with Scouts, Top Hats and enjoyed hunting, fishing and of course watching the Packers and Badgers. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Wally is survived by his children: Sandy (Rick) Moe, Pensacloa, FL, Deb Kuitert, Wautoma, Rick (Jayne) Senkbeil, Pensacola, FL; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Kathleen Senkbeil; son: Steven Senkbeil; sister and brother-in-law: Ruth and Kenneth Wegman; son-in-law: William “Bill” Kuitert (his hunting buddy); grandson: Tim Moe, father and mother-in-law; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM.
