As principal of Lancaster Catholic High School, I met Walt and Mary frequently because they were frequent and generous donors to the school. Walt explained to me that, in the absence of grandchildren, they wanted to live on in the improved lives of our children. It should be noted the their gifts were substantial and anonymous.

After Lancaster Catholic, Walt went on to provide significant funding for Our Mother Of Perpetual School in Ephrata, where his daughter, Teresa, was in charge of advancement. Between the two of them they managed to make the school successful and to control tuition costs - especially for students from low-income families.

Walt´s commitment to our Catholic schoolchildren will indeed live on in their improved lives. We, in Catholic education, will be forever grateful to Walt Zaleskie

I had the honor of meeting Walter when he resided where my sister worked. My impression of Walter will stay with me always. I´m so sorry I did not get to know him longer, but I was able to correspond with him and send a card with some magicians. I thought would make him happy and smile.
