Walter Jacob Zettlemoyer

Walter Jacob Zettlemoyer Sr. of Dover, Delaware, passed away Monday November 4th, 2024. He was 81.
He was born October 31st, 1943, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, to the late Kathryn Hammaker and Robert Zettlemoyer Sr.
Mr. Zettlemoyer served 27 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and visiting with friends. He loved to spend his time traveling and fixing things. He was a "Jack of all trades". He will always be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help family and others.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Robert Zettlemoyer Jr. and his nephew, Steven Zettlemoyer
Mr. Zettlemoyer is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cecelia Zettlemoyer of Dover, DE; his children, Walter Zettlemoyer Jr. and his wife Angela of New Jersey; Bonnie Gladu and her husband Tom of Hartly, DE; Debbie Satterfield and her husband George of Magnolia DE; his siblings, Patricia Hoffman and her husband Jake of Townsend DE; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan Zettlemoyer, Joshua, Corey, Seth and Carlie Gladu, Clay, Garrett, Lexi, and Lacey Satterfield and his great grandchildren, Jasper, Westley, Aurelia and Madeline.
Services will be held 11:30am, Friday November 22nd, 2024, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may visit one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Kent and Sussex Industry Camp Lenape.
