Wanda Lovena McAnear Stracener DeBusk, 96 of Sweetwater passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Sterling Hills Nursing and Rehab.
A private family graveside will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 16, 2025 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Michael Harbour officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Wanda was born April 23, 1929 in Jacksboro, TX to the late Earl and Maggie (Jowers) McAnear. She married Bernard Stracener until his death on April 30, 1977, and then Wanda married Earl DeBusk on July 5, 1978 in Sweetwater. Earl preceded her in death on June 15, 2008. Wanda was a member of Fourth & Elm Church of Christ. She worked many years as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Bob Hampton, Dr. James Pace and Dr. Zane Jones.
Wanda is survived by her daughter Latresa Petrastelli of Sweetwater; son Gary Stracener and wife Ruth of Yantis, TX; stepson Weldon DeBusk and wife Mary of Seattle, WA; two sisters Mert Carey of Sweetwater, Peggy Clough of Cypress, TX; brother J.C. McAnear of Earth, TX; three granddaughters Courtney Sails and husband Cody of Arlington, Tammy Stracener of Colorado City, TX., Jessica Kahsar and husband Gregg of Michigan; grandson Charlie Stracener and wife Toya of Sweetwater; two great grandsons K.C. Kahsar of Michigan, Austin Freeman of Fort Worth, TX; step son in law Darrel Brotsch of Sweetwater, step granddaughters Lindsey Brotsch of Abilene, TX., Cristina Hogue and husband Jimmy of Sweetwater; three step great grandchildren Lily, Jesse and Bella Hogue of Sweetwater; nephew Chuck Browning and wife Patricia of Sweetwater, a niece Kay Farr, and several nieces and nephews on the McAnear side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and step daughter Brenda Brotsch.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Stephanie Mathew and the caring staff at Hendrick Hospice, Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, Sterling Hills Nursing and Rehab, and McCoy Funeral Home.

I am very sorry to see of Mrs. Wanda's passing! Since the DeBusk and Stracener Family's names has been a part of Sweetwater as far back as I can remember! And she lived a good long life! Thoughts/Condolences/Prayers to her family and close friends! She is really going to be missed! Ronny Bredemeyer(born/raised in Sweetwater, Texas)! MAY GOD BE WITH ALL OF YOU!
