Wanda J. Goodman

Wanda Jean Goodman went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 8, 1949. Her memorial service will be held at Grand Parkway Baptist Church in Richmond, Texas on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Adult Building.
She is preceded in death by her parents John "Wylie" and Ina Marie "Sue" Bowers and her beloved brother Curtis, and nephew Bradley. She is survived by her loving husband Reedy, Brothers: Brent (Connie), Glen and Wesley (Sue), Sister-in-Law Jo Ann, Aunts: Louise & Hazel, Nieces and Nephews: Wayne, Miranda, Douglas, Jason, Bobby, Chris, Mike, Michelle, Brad, Shannan, & Sherilyn, Cousins: JD Jr., Roger, Joan & Jenna and many other treasured family and friends.
Wanda grew up and attended school in Galveston, TX where she met her husband Reedy. Upon graduation she went to work for the Phone Company, Southwestern Bell where she worked until retirement. Later Wanda went back to work for Conoco Phillips for years and then part time until her death. She made countless friends along the way and cared deeply for her family and friends. Wanda cherished lasting relationships and never met a stranger. She struck up conversations with anyone she encountered. She loved to travel and was a curious soul. She loved helping her friends in times of need and expected nothing in return. Wanda always looked forward to coffee and meals with friends and family. She knew and loved the Lord. She took great care of her husband of more than 50 years and was good to all who knew and loved her. She will be sorely missed and treasured in our hearts.
