Wanda Sharon Highfill
Wanda Sharon Highfill, age 76, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Clay County, WV on January 7, 1949, daughter of the late William and Violet Butler Brown. She was a devoted wife to the late Daniel Highfill and a cherished mother to Susan Bordewicz and David Stover, Sr.
Wanda was known for her kindness, warmth and sense of humor. She enjoyed babysitting, playing dice with her sister, Sylvia and daughter, Susan, computer games, crosswords and crocheting. Her family was the center of her life and she always had a smile and a listening ear for those who needed her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Sylvia, Linda and Patty; and one brother, William. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Bordewicz (Tim); son; David Stover, Sr.; two sisters, Brenda Dillon and Joyce Pierson (James), three grandchildren, Brian Samec II (Tiffany), David Stover, Jr. and Nicholas Stover; six great-grandchildren, Lillieanna Bordewicz, Melody, Amber, Edward, Serena and Barbara; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday, February 7th, from 5 to 7 pm and are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Saturday, February 8th at 11 am at Edinboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
