Wanda Fae Short Letson, 82, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at her residence. She was born October 4, 1938, in Denison, Texas, to Clarence Lance and Ethel Wisdom Short. Wanda was the executive secretary for the National Watermelon Promotion Board, a member of North Main Church of Christ and the Pythian Sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, J.T. “T Bone” Larkin and R.L. “Bill” Letson; three siblings, Clarence Leon Short, Lillian "Sister" Burkham, and Clyde Lance Short; and stepsons, R.L. “Robert” and Greg Letson.
Wanda is survived by her son, Thomas Larkin and wife, Karey; daughter, Carrie Larkin; grandsons, Tré Newby, Rayne Newby, and J.T. Larkin and wife, Emily; great grandchildren, Paige and Gage Larkin; siblings, James "Sonny" Short and wife, Clydene, Linda Cook and husband, Steve, and Donna Towery and husband, Jim.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at North Side Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2021, at North Side Baptist Church, with the graveside following at 3:00 p.m., at Georgetown Cemetery, in Pottsboro, Texas.
