Wanda Darlene Moore, age 86, of Vinita, Oklahoma , passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025. She was born on February 4, 1939, to Henry and Pearl Lathrop, and was one of six children.
Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lyle Moore; her son, Bradley Moore; her parents; and her five siblings - Donald Lathrop , Thomas Lathrop, Louis Lathrop, Betty Jo Lathrop, and Fay Ann Polson. She found joy in knowing she would be reunited in Heaven with all those who went before her.
Darlene especially treasured being “Grandma” and “Great-Grandma.” She adored her grandchildren, Taylor, Kayle, and Jayden, and her great-grandchildren, Haven, Nathan, and Benjamin, who brought her so much happiness. She was also a beloved aunt to her several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Many of who called her “Aunt Darty”.
In 2004, Darlene’s life was blessed when she met her longtime partner, Dwayne, whose family quickly became her own. “DeeDee” was lovingly embraced by Dwayne’s children - his son Brad and his wife Jennifer, and their daughters Kiley and Kelsey, as well as his son Kevin and his wife Robin, and their daughter Rilynn. Darlene cherished her role in their lives and held a special place in the hearts of each of them. She and Dwayne were true partners in every sense, finding joy in the simple things - morning coffee, casino trips, family gatherings, and evenings spent side by side.
She will be remembered for her kind spirit, warm smile, and welcoming heart. Darlene loved bowling, playing cards, painting her nails, and trips to the casino. She never met a stranger—always offering a cheerful hello to anyone who passed her way.
Darlene was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed beyond measure.
