Wanda M. Pike

Wanda M. Pike, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her home while surrounded by her family.
A native and lifelong resident of Asheville, she was a daughter of the late Eulas and Wavie Lee Sexton. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carla King; son, Harold Pike; and brothers: James "Jim" Sexton and Junior Sexton.
Wanda loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Eagle Rock Church in Asheville. She also enjoyed shopping, and could not resist passing a thrift store.
Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, Albert Gene Pike; daughters: Elaine Garrett and Annette Candler; grandchildren: Joshua "Josh", Caleb, Crystal, Angel (Jon), Amber, Bradley, Bryan, Jodi, and Jenna; great-grandchildren: Duncan, Owen, Anniston, and Levi; great-great-granddaughter, Oakley; sister, Hazel Ann Burnette; brother, Richard Sexton; her beloved dog, Little Bit; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Eagle Rock Church, 10 Roberts Street, Asheville, with Pastor Ramona Nix officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 PM on Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wanda's memory to Eagle Rock Church, 10 Roberts Street, Asheville, NC.
