Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, 886 North Farish Street, Jackson, Mississippi. His Final Resting Place will be Private.
Wardell Kines was born August 25, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Eaphon and Rosie Kines both parents preceded him in death.
Wardell Kines was married to Dianna Lee Kendrick in July, 1969; and to that union two children were born. Wardell, later married Patricia Boykin Kines on November 29, 1980 for (46 years) until his passing.
Wardell Kines worked with the City of Chicago for (25+) years as Garage/Gas attendant and Maintenance employee. Wardell enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the distributing food at his local church where he served in the food pantry for many years in Chicago, IL.
Wardell Kines accepted Christian his life through Jesus Word Center Church and Life-Changing Ministries (15+ years), 4224 W. 13 Street, Chicago, Illinois 60623 and later continued his journey with Christ at Revelation Christ Kingdom Ministries (ROCK) (5 years), 609 McCIuer Road, Jackson, MS 39212.
Wardell Kines leaves to cherish: (1) daughter, Teresa Kines Thompson (Darryl), (1) son, Warlondis Kines, (India); first cousins: Janet Kines Heard and R S McCullough; (2) brothers: Kimmie Kines and Eaphon "'Peter" Kines, Jr. of Chicago, IL, all his sisters have preceded him in death: (twin) Lardell Kines, Linda Kines, Brenda Kines Wilson, Mildred Jean, Annyce; (5) grandchildren: Darya, Darryl (DJ), Layla, Tyler, Warlondis (Shun); (4) great-grandchildren: Shontel, Madison, Mason and Kyleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
