Rev. Warren Bruce Arndt

With faith in the resurrection and the sure promises of Christ, we commend to the Triune God the soul of Rev. Warren B. Arndt, who was called to his eternal rest on February 7th, 2025.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and servant of the Lord, he was married to his beloved wife, Elise, for 61 years. Together, they built a home centered on faith in Christ, a sure and certain hope in the promises of the Scripture, a bold witness of the Gospel, and generosity and love for the neighbor.
He was the loving father of Paul (Faye), David (Liz), Elisabeth (David), John (Stacey), and Dan (Sarah); the cherished grandfather of Marie, Andy (Scarlett), Kaylie (Connor), Michael, Joshua, Ryan, Jacob (Mackenzie), Hannah, Aaron, Evan, AJ, Noah, and Levi; and the dear brother of Wayne (Ruth) and Judy (Bob).
For 58 years, Rev. Arndt faithfully proclaimed Christ crucified and risen for the forgiveness of sins, serving as both a missionary to the Highlands of Papua New Guinea and a pastor in congregations in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Mornings found him immersed in Scripture, his hands devoted to writing intercessions for all in need. Afternoons and evenings were spent calling, texting, and caring for family and friends. He was graced with a bold and unwavering faith, compelling him-alongside his bride and young family-to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
He was a pious and upright servant of Christ, steadfast in his calling, and he now rests from his labors in the eternal presence of the Lord he was so graced to serve.
Family will receive friends Friday, February 14, 2025, from 2-8PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Price Chapel), 3725 Rochester Road (Between Big Beaver & Wattles), Troy, (248) 689-0700.
A service of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran, 1011 W. University Drive, Rochester, Michigan with visitation at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be directed to either:
* "East Bethlehem Lutheran Church" and designate "General Fund" in memo line. Such gifts would help sustain the ministry of the Gospel in the city of Detroit.
* OR "East Bethlehem Lutheran Church" and designate "Missionary at Large" in memo line. Such gifts would help support the deployed mission position of Pastor Paul W. Arndt.
