Warren Douglas Bartley, affectionately known as Papa to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the age of 81 in Kingsland, Texas. Born on September 18, 1944, in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, Warren's life was a testament to his loving nature, faith-filled spirit, and generous heart.

Warren's journey through life was marked by his dedication to his family, his career, and his faith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Judy, and their cherished children, Kimberly and husband Kyle Bruner, Warren Douglas Bartley Jr., and husband Jose Olivares Jr. Warren's legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Kellsey and Matt Thompson, Austin and Allison Bruner, his great-granddaughter, Beverly Jo Bruner, brother Randall Bartley, sister Debbie Kanipe. His life was further enriched by the presence of numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Evelene Bartley, brothers Jerry Bartley, David Bartley.

In 1978, Warren achieved a significant milestone, graduating from Baylor College of Medicine with a specialization in nurse anesthesia. His professional life was characterized by his role as a founding partner of Midland Anesthesia Associates in Midland, Texas, in 1980. For over four decades, Warren served as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Midland Memorial Hospital, where he and his colleagues were affectionately known as the "Gas Passers." His love for his job, patients, and co-workers was evident to all who knew him, and he retired in 2016 with a reputation for excellence and compassion. Warren's professional achievements were recognized with the honor of being named an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Warren's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was very active in Kingsland Community Church, where he participated in the Men's breakfast club and bible study, and taught Sunday school. His commitment to his faith was exemplified by the memorable trip to Israel with Judy, where they renewed their wedding vows, celebrating a union that was a source of inspiration to many.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Warren found joy in boating, water sports, and especially enjoyed pulling his grandchildren on a tube behind the boat, delighting in their laughter as they were playfully tossed into the water. His passion for jet skiing and grilling were only matched by his love for traveling the world with Judy, creating a lifetime of memories.

Warren's life was one of service, love, and generosity. He was a man who lived his values and made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. His warm smile, hearty laugh, and the wisdom he shared will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to Warren Douglas Bartley, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love and cherished moments. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will be forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.
