David Reese

David Reese of Temple, Texas, passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 39. Born and raised in Temple, David was a dominant athlete, known for his charisma, generous spirit, comradeship and unforgettable smile. He approached life with a "work hard, play hard" mentality and inspired everyone around him with his positivity and unwavering reliability.

David proudly served his country with honor and distinction, retiring as a member of the Navy Special Forces. His dedication, strength, and leadership tempered his impact in service and civilian life.

He is survived by his loving mother, Doris Reese and father Robert Reese; his cherished daughters, Kenly and Haley Reese; his siblings, Gene Overton and Mary Hayes; and five nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle David. He was a loyal friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

A service to honor David’s life will be held at 12:00 Wednesday on August 27, 2025, at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for contributions and the kindest words of memory during this difficult time.
