Wayland E. Dillon, age 69 of La Vergne, Tennessee passed away May 20th, 2025 unexpectedly at home. Wayland was born in Tecumseh, Michigan to Edgar and Norma Dillon on September 22nd, 1955. He was a graduate of Onsted High School, Class of 1973. Wayland worked as a body man for many years and retired in 2023. Wayland is survived by his two children, Amanda Pope of La Vergne, Tennessee and Chad (Kaseye) Dillon of Mt, Juliet, Tennessee; his siblings, Merilee Kennedy of Cadmus, Michigan, Harlan (Debbie) Dillon of Tipton, Michigan, Leon Dillon of Adrian, Michigan, and Sue Lake of Onsted, Michigan; also his grandchildren, Anne and Kallee Williams of Grass Lake, Michigan, Aleazeah and Alden Dillon of Adrian, Michigan, RyLeigh, Garrett, and Holley Dillon of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; long with nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Norma Dillon; step-mom, Betty Dillon, son in law, James Pope; brother in law, Doug Lake; niece, Jamie Dillon and granddaughter, Alonah Dillon. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Matthew SeGraves officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
