Wayne Merrill Argyle, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, & Great Grandfather, passed away on January 25th, 2024, just 3 weeks shy of his 84th birthday. His passing came unexpectedly while snorkeling in Hawaii, passing from a mortal paradise to a heavenly paradise. If there was one lesson to be learned from his life's pursuits, it would be that "nothing good happens without hard work". He exemplified this characteristic, teaching that a family that works together, plays together! And we had some real great times boating, skiing, camping, fishing, hunting, etc.
He was sealed for time and all eternity, in the Salt Lake City temple, to his sweetheart Louise Holbrook, in December 1959. They spent the next 64 years building and enjoying a life filled with love, family, service, and togetherness. Early in their marriage, he served for 3 years in the Air National Guard. His chosen profession, for 47 years, was specializing in the HVAC industry. He served several missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including serving with his sweet wife in the Bishops Storehouse and 19 months in the Tulsa, Oklahoma Mission.
He was a "quiet" spiritual giant; no fanfare needed. He was kind and considerate to those around him. As a result, there may be those who had a greater desire to learn more of the gospel and apply its principles to their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents (Ira/Alice), sister (Naree Maddox), brother (Howard), and son (Ryan). He leaves behind his lovely wife (Louise), six sons (Merrill/Tammy, Greg/Debbie, Vaughn/Karen, Layne/Laurie, Dave, Todd/Claire), brother (Gary/Sharron), sister (Donnalu), 19 grandchildren, & 12.5 great grandchildren.
