Wayne E. Budzinski, 69, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Wayne was born in Worcester, and raised in Oxford until the age of seven, he was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Garney) Budzinski. His parents later moved the family to Worcester where he attended elementary and middle schools and graduated from North High School. He met his sweetheart, Mary Golden in 1989, they married on October 15, 1995, and started their loving life together in Shrewsbury.
Wayne was employed for over 25 years as a machinist at the Coppus Engineering Company in Worcester before the Tuthill Corporation acquired it.
He took pleasure in spending time with family, especially on their annual summer camping trips; he enjoyed golfing and bowling with his friends in the several leagues he belonged to. He also was a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan, not missing a game if he could help it! Wayne was a dog lover, he deeply missed walking Bella and Maisie, who were his prior companions before his latest Golden Girl Zoie, who was always by his side during his illnesses.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary (Golden) Budzinski; his children, Wayne Budzinski, Jr., of Millbury, Shawn Budzinski of Worcester, Christine Marzug of Worcester and Matthew Donovan of La Masa, CA; eleven adoring grandchildren, Dwayne, Desirae, Zion, Anthony, Gianna, Balin, Shawn, Bianca, Mason, twins-Eva and Ava. He is also survived by a loving brother, Thomas Budzinski of Sun City Center, FL; as well as, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (www.dana-farber.org/donate).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Wayne's family on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 NOON on Friday October 10th, at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury, with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
