Wayne Capizzi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede on Feb. 7, 2025.
Wayne Joseph Capizzi, age 64, passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter.
Born in Philadelphia, Wayne was raised in Bellmawr, New Jersey, and was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. Following his passion for aviation, he earned his Airframe and Powerplant License and went on to build a dedicated career as an Aircraft Mechanic with Boeing Helicopters, where he worked for 39 years before retiring in 2023. Beyond his career, Wayne enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore. He loved fishing on the beach, where he felt most at peace.
Wayne was a devoted husband and father with his wife of 24 years, Jean Capizzi, and their daughter, Alyse Capizzi. He was a loving brother to John Capizzi (Lisa), Joseph Capizzi Jr., Linda McKegney (Tom), and Elaine Baselice (Arthur), and will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Capizzi Sr. and Janet Capizzi, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
Wayne will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the kindness he showed to all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
There will be a visitation from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment to follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery and Mausoleum, 515 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ.
