Wayne "Peachy" Fischer, formerly of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and most recently of Elcho, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of June 3, 2025, at the age of 87.
After graduating from high school, Wayne joined the United States Army, where he helped build missile systems and began learning the electrical trade. He later worked as an electrician and retired as a supervisor with the City of Cedarburg. Wayne also served many years with the Cedarburg Volunteer Fire Department, retiring as Fire Chief. Through his quiet service and steady leadership, he helped protect and care for his community.
Affectionately known as "Peachy," Wayne was a loving caretaker and a dependable presence wherever he lived. His kindness and loyalty ran deep. He cherished fishing trips, especially those with family and the "Ozaukee 12", cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and finding joy in the simple, meaningful moments of a life well-lived.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Wayne lived a life defined by dedication to his work, his family, and his community. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Fischer; his children, Dawn Fischer, Douglas (Denise) Fischer, and Denise (Steve) Icard; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Matt) Dorfler, Nicole (Cory) Cooper, and Caitlin (Javier) Muñoz; his great-grandchildren, Brook and Caleb Dorfler, Sophia and Ariel Muñoz; and sister, Wendy (Joel) Ellioff..
At Wayne's request, there will be no public service. He will be cremated, and his family will honor his memory privately.
He will be deeply missed.
