Wayne Eugene Kyllo died at his home in Fargo, North Dakota on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
Wayne was born December 5, 1966 to Ronald and Doris (Saeland) Kyllo in Fargo, North Dakota. Wayne grew up in the South Fargo High School system where he made many lifelong friends, was active in extracurricular clubs, participated on the high school track team, and was a key part of the high school football team.
Following graduation, Wayne played football for Concordia College in Moorhead, MN for a year before transferring to Moorhead State University. Through a college exchange program, Wayne continued his studies at UMass in Amherst, MA for two years before taking a break from school and exploring Europe for a year. Wayne returned home and received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Moorhead State University.
Not one to sit at a desk, Wayne chose a career in construction, working his way up to a licensed crane and tower crane operator. This decision gave Wayne the opportunity to travel and work on job sites across the nation, from Texas to Alaska and countless locations in between, as well as spending time working in Canada. It also gave him the freedom for month-plus long snowboarding trips in the off-season, traveling wherever he could find the best snow.
In later years, Wayne chose a position that allowed him to stay in Fargo where he could spend more time with his loved ones.
Wayne's best memories revolved around time spent at the lakes, camping trips, fishing trips, snowmobiling, skiing and snowboarding, epic bonfires, and lighting off fireworks. What made these times so special to Wayne were all the people that shared these memories with him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Kyllo; mother, Doris (Saeland) Kyllo; brother-in-law, Scott Rogers; aunt, Joyce Brogger; and his cousin, Kevin Anderson. Wayne is survived by his siblings; sister, Kathi Rogers of Moorhead, MN; and brother, Michael Kyllo (Mary Magnuson) of Maynard, MN; niece, Samantha Rogers and nephew, Jack Rogers; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many old and new friends. All of whom meant the world to Wayne. All of whom will deeply miss him.
