Wayne J. Leech, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Cleo G. Leech; cherished son of the late Otis and Vilda Leech; devoted father of Gary (Lucene) Leech, Gail Leech, Jim (Terry) Leech, and Steve Leech; loving grandfather Cindi (Doug) Banstetter, Amanda Buck, Adam (Stephanie) Leech, Jessica (Ben) Fellman, Kayla Leech, and Briana Leech; treasured great-grandfather of Jonny, Jordan, Sydney, Mollie, and one on the way; and dear brother of Doris (Richard) Gimbal, Mary (Sal) Migliore, and Ed (Elizabeth) Leech. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Wayne retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant before going on to work for the maintenance department at Maryville University for over 35 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 388 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He and his wife, Cleo, were members of the Moose Lodge of St. Charles. They also enjoyed bowling at Frontier Lanes in O’Fallon. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his family, cooking and being a jokester. Wayne was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
