Wayne Locklear

Mr. Wayne Rainey Locklear, 72, of Pembroke, NC departed his earthly home on April 2, 2025, at 6:29 am. Wayne was born in Robeson County to the late Braxton Locklear and Mary O. Locklear on December 21, 1952.
Wayne enjoyed playing his drums, piano and fishing with his siblings. Wayne was called upon by many in the community to come to their aid with his carpentry skills. Mr. Locklear wore many hats over his lifetime. He was known as Son, Brother, Uncle, PaPa, Friend, and best of all " Daddy". Wayne loved his family unconditionally and will be missed dearly.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Braxton Locklear, mother, Mary O. Locklear, two brothers, Billy Locklear, Charlis Locklear, two sisters, Reedy Oxendine, Mattie Bell Oxendine.
Wayne is survived by his only child, his daughter, Tanika Lynn McMillian (Jerome) of Fayetteville, NC., three grandchildren, Sequoia L. Parrott of Raleigh, NC, Mary L. Hargrove (Joshua) of Homestead, FL, and Xavier K. McMillian of Austin, TX, three brothers, Spencer Locklear, Hubert Lee Locklear, and James Earl Locklear, and two sisters, Lenora Locklear, and Jan Locklear; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
