Wayne Patton was born on October 3, 1946, in Baxter, TN in the 8th District. He passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the age of 78.

Wayne was the son of Benton Patton and Bessie Jared Patton. Wayne graduated from Upperman High School in Baxter, TN. He was of Baptist faith. Wayne was the brother of Wanda Patton and Winona Allison. He worked for Hermitage Hardwood Lumber for over 48 years. Wayne enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Wanda Patton and Winona Allison; as well as various other family members and friends.

Wayne is survived by numerous close friends which he considered his family, and they considered him family as well. He was dearly loved by many and was affectionately known as 'Wayne' or 'Uncle Wayne'. He always made time to play with the younger children and enjoyed the time he was given. He will be greatly missed by his close friends and will not be forgotten.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Bro Lakelan Barham officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the business office.
