On August 31, 2024, Wayne Frank Salazar, a resident of Los Lunas, completed his earthly journey. Born on April 2, 1973, Wayne was a man who dedicated his life to those he loved. He is survived by his devoted wife, Yvette Salazar, and their son Eric Salazar. He joins his son, Gabriel Salazar, in heaven.
Wayne was the beloved son of MaryAnn Salazar of Los Lunas. He leaves behind his sister Shelly Garcia and brother Philips Salazar. He is also reunited in heaven with his cherished grandparents, Frank and Lucy Salazar of Los Lunas, whose values shaped the man he became.
With the guidance and love of his grandparents, Wayne grew into a protector and caretaker. At 18, he met his soulmate, Yvette, and together they built a life centered around their sons, Gabriel and Eric. Wayne was a constant and active presence in their lives, whether playing outside, taking them on the road trips, driving them to activities, or offering guidance.
Wayne's care and loyalty extended beyond his family. He was respected by many and offered mentorship and support to those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend. At a moment's notice, he would call up his cousin Anthony (Tony), and the two would spend the day fishing. His friends will forever remember his passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, his love for fishing, and his legendary gatherings.
Wayne's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He will be forever loved and remembered by all who knew him.
