Wayne Sawyer Obituary
He was born October 15, 1950, in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late William Joe Sawyer and Rosalee Carson.
Wayne was a member of Victory Hill Baptist Church, Dallas. He was also a bus director for years, and in the bus ministry for decades.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joey Sawyer.
Wayne is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Cynthia Hopper Sawyer; brothers, Roger Sawyer (Susan), and Jay Sawyer (Beth); sister, Kaye Jackson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Bret Wiley, will be held 11:00am, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Forest Lawn West Cemetery - 4601 Freedom Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Victory Hill Baptist Church - PO Box 638, Dallas, NC 28034.
