Wayne Sherman

Wayne Sherman, 68, of Sanford, died the evening of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the MyMichigan Medical Center, Midland. Son of the late Duane and Margaret (Lanczak) Sherman, Wayne was born in Bay City on March 21, 1956. Wayne spent time in Midland and Gladwin before settling into living in Sanford. He liked to hunt, mud bog, and was always handy with a wrench. Wayne also enjoyed his work driving semi-trucks.
Left to cherish Wayne's memory is his life partner of over 30 years, Denise Schneider; children, Corey (Teresa) Sherman, Keith (Katie) Sherman, Wayne Sherman, Heather (Bill) View, William Schneider, and Jeff Schneider; grandchildren, Myrissa, Mason, Lydia, Julia, Khloe, Troy, Kaleb, Amanda, Brandi, Todd, and Austin; and great grandchildren, James, Bennett, Carson, Chevi, Aiden, Connor, Levi, Chandler, Emerson, Avery, and Cora. Wayne is also survived by his siblings, Lane (Ange) Sherman, Sharon (Joe) Schmidt, Sheryl (Dean) Fick, Shirley (Bill) Bozer, Susan LaLonde, and Shelly Sheskey.
In accordance with Wayne's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at Eagle Ridge Church of God on Saturday, December 21, 2024, beginning at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the time of service, and continue fellowship after the service until 4 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the family, in care of Denise.
