Wayne A. Stork passed away on August 2, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. He was 88 and the spouse of Andrew A. Hartnagle. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, Wayne was the son of Norman and Loretta Stork. A graduate of Brown University, Wayne began his distinguished career in finance as a security analyst in 1962. He rose to become Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Delaware Management Holdings Inc. and Chief Investment Officer of Delaware Investment Advisers. The Philadelphia Business Journal once described him as "the quintessential gentleman head of an old-money firm," a testament to his integrity, leadership, and grace. Wayne and Andrew curated a life of quiet elegance-defined by enduring partnership, refined surroundings, and a shared appreciation for the extraordinary. Over the decades of their relationship, they lived in many stunning properties, including the iconic Twin Silo Farm, a magnificent country estate that was an original William Penn Land Grant. In retirement, Wayne dedicated himself to charitable work and public service. He was elected to the Plumstead Township Board of Supervisors, where he continued to serve his community with the same thoughtfulness and commitment that defined his professional life. Wayne was a devoted dog owner whose love for animals reflected his gentle and compassionate nature. He is survived by his dear friend and sister-in-law, Michelle Schoonover (Michael), nephew Christopher Schoonover (Allison) and niece Jennifer Early (Chase), and sister-in-law Karla Nurmela, brother-in-law Chris Harnagle, cousins Erica Curran, Faith Rushnak, Rich Zoino, and Larry Jaynes. Wayne will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, and the quiet strength with which he led both business and life. His legacy lives on in many lives he touched, the communities he served, and the love he shared with Andrew. Kelly Barber of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the family with their arrangements.

As one of Wayne's oldest living friends, I found him to be an extremely important part of my life. We had been close for about 55 years. He will be extremely missed from my life.
