Obituary of Wayne Allen Tokach
Wayne Allen Tokach, 58, of Lakeville, MN, passed away on July 21, 2023 surrounded by "his girls". Wayne was born on August 23, 1964 to Ray & Jo Tokach and grew up in Burnsville, MN. Life was tough from day 1 for Wayne because not only was he born prematurely, he also was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, (a brittle bone disease). Wayne spent much of his childhood/teen years in casts and at the Shriners Hospital in Minneapolis but he didn't let this get him down. He entertained other kids at the hospital and always kept a positive attitude with a smile and a whistle even though he was unable to do the things his friends could do. Soon after graduating from Burnsville High School he began his career at UPS where he worked for over 20 years from sorting packages, delivery driver and semi driver. After years of hard work, alot of sore joints and some serious health issues and surgeries; Wayne retired in 2018. He spent the past 5 years enjoying his retirement by doing the things he loved the most; fishing, deer hunting, finding "the deals", and talking/telling stories with friends & family. In June 1992 while camping on the St. Croix River, he met Marci, the love of his life. They were married on June 11, 1994 and had 3 children together along with Wayne's 2 children. Wayne will be greatly missed by his wife of 29 years, Marci, his daughters; Valerie, Leah, Emma & Kora, and his grandchildren; Grant & Gracelynn. He was reunited in heaven with his father Raymond, his mother Josephine, brother Joseph, sister Beth, son Mitchell and many other close friends and family members. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 14th at Hosanna Church in Lakeville, MN (more details to follow). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
